Tara Del Toro is a justice advocate, student, and co-founder of Light After Life, a faith-rooted movement dedicated to ending extreme sentencing, advancing second-chance legislation, and promoting restorative justice and reentry initiatives that restore dignity and opportunity.
Drawing from lived experience and nonprofit leadership, Tara works to build coalitions between families, faith communities, and advocacy organizations across Florida and beyond. Her efforts have included statewide projects such as the Christmas Reentry Boxes initiative and partnerships that uplift returning citizens and their loved ones.
Tara currently studies Interdisciplinary Studies at Florida International University, focusing on Psychology and Law. She also volunteers with Florida Cares Charity, supporting incarcerated individuals and families.
A mother of five and holistic advocate for healing and reform, Tara brings compassion, integrity, and purpose to every space she serves—believing that faith and justice are inseparable in the pursuit of true restoration.
