Erica Downs is a seasoned attorney with extensive experience in civil rights, criminal justice reform, and employment discrimination.  Erica is coming back to FJI after serving as a trial attorney at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Previously, at FJI, Erica secured significant victories, including groundbreaking injunctions and settlements to protect incarcerated individuals’ rights. Erica began her career at the Equal Justice Initiative, where she litigated against the death penalty.
